I came back from my trip to my alma mater. God answered all of my prayers. I prayed that He protect my family fully and throughout, and He graciously did completely. I was especially worried about being exposed to germs during a talk that I had to give, to the point that I was regretting organizing it. But most people wore masks, no one coughed or sneezed even once, and I felt so safe even when I had to briefly take my mask off. I am so, so grateful to God for answering my prayers so completely. I am not worthy at all.

What’s more, God gave me an amazing gift that I didn’t even think to ask for. I’ve been quite bitter about not having been able to enjoy my full four years of college, which I loved, because of COVID. When going back for this trip, I was worried I would be disappointed. I was not: it was even better than I had remembered. But I realized I had outgrown it and am happy where I am now. It was a wonderful feeling, being happily surprised by how good it was while also realizing that I don’t need to miss it anymore. I needed this closure. I’m so grateful to God for giving it to me. He really gives us more than we think to ask.

I got many bites at the place we were staying and was really worried that they were bedbug bites. But it’s looking unlikely that that’s the case. I am very grateful to God for this.

I had an amazing dinner with my parents at a restaurant. First of all, the food itself was absolutely delicious, the best I’ve had in a while. Secondly, we chose to sit outdoors, but it was chilly at first. But when the waiter turned on the heater, it became very pleasant the whole time. Finally, God answered my prayers about concerns about the pandemic and safety and protected us. I am very grateful to God for this awesome outing and for answering my prayers.

I had time to work on time-sensitive things despite going out. I am grateful to God for this.

We went to a restaurant for lunch. We are still worried about COVID and so ate outside. Just as we were getting seated, the only other person in the outdoor area left, and just as we were about to leave after eating the meal, someone came to be seated outdoors. So essentially, we were completely alone for practically the whole meal. And the waiters also appeared generally healthy. And the food was amazing! I am so, so grateful to God for answering all my prayers and for protecting us completely. And I am also grateful to God for making this day so fun!

I unexpectedly spent a fun and relaxing Memorial Day. I had a barbecue and played games with my parents. And in the midst of it all, I got a good idea for a project that I was stuck on. I am grateful to God for this great day.

I had some scheduling issues but everything turned out well. I am grateful to God for this.

I met with my best friend from high school who lives in a different city and was visiting. But I was very late because of traffic and going the wrong way, so we talked for less than an hour. I was a bit disappointed. My parents and I then stayed near the city and went sightseeing, which was really great. But then, unexpectedly, my friend said her next appointment got cut short, so we could meet again! It was chaotic because her phone was dying and then my phone was dying and we couldn’t communicate well, but things worked out and we talked for more than an additional hour. I am so grateful to God for making this all go splendidly.

Actually, I’ve been praying for her for more than ten years because of her back pain, and she said that she’s fine. I am grateful to God for answering my prayers. He is so kind and merciful.

I laughed a lot this day. And I had time to work on three of my hobbies (art, making video games, and writing), and even played a card game with my family. I am grateful to God for giving me such a happy, fun, and restful day.

I told someone something kind of sensitive to me, and it went ok. I am grateful to God for protecting me from hurt.

I got great guidance from God through the homily. It is a recurring theme I’ve been hearing recently. I am grateful to God for His guidance. I am not worthy.

I held my tongue despite an annoying encounter. I am grateful to God for helping me control myself.
